Dear Friends,

I'd like to invite you to a special Christmas Sale that I have been
organizing with an Indigenous artist and activist named Louise Johnson
to showcase a number of other Indigenous artists and craftspeople. Come and
get your Christmas shopping done early!

As many of you know, I have been involved with Indigenous justice for many
years with a group at my church, Trinity St Pauls. Our goal is  to be
allies with Indigenous people, lobby the government and educate ourselves
and others on the issues. We raise funds yearly for two Indigenous non
profits, Na-Me-Res and the Native Womens' Centre. With our Indigenous
partners, we built a garden to recognize the Indigenous children that were
lost and survived the Indian Residential Schools..We call it the
Heart Garden.

When Louise reached out to us and asked if we would help her with a sale of
Indigenous Arts  and Crafts, we said yes. We felt that it is a concrete
action to support the Indigenous community, a small step to reconciliation.

I have attached the flyer with this email.
By the way, the Annex area near the church is a great place to go out for
food or drink after you visit the sale.

If you are able to come, I'd be thrilled to see you!  Please pass this
