Greetings… I received the following message from a friend and I thought I would share it with the Sunday Community.
Blessings…
Dean.
This is the single greatest image of the earth ever taken. On Valentine's Day in 1990, Voyager 1 turned around to capture the earth one last time from 3.7 billion miles away.
We live on one small Planet revolving around one Star among 400 Billion Stars in one Galaxy among 2 Trillion Galaxies in the small part of the universe that we can see. It’s beyond comprehension.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
We are nothing but a speck of dust in the cosmos. The fact that we, as breathing, feeling humans - live on this little planet in this time with this life boggles the mind. If we really recognized this - we might stop being so self centred and self serving. We might realize that in the great scheme of the cosmos, we are insignificant… yet we have purpose to love, to foster kindness and beauty.
