a voluntary basis or who have paid jobs with Catholic organisations
to withhold our labour
throughout Lent, from 5 March to 20 April.

Never underestimate the strength of Catholic cultural conditioning. Like
the stick of rock, it goes right through too many of us. It can be scary
being ahead of the curve.

The October 2024 Synod concluded without action on women’s leadership or
the possibility of ordination to the diaconate or priesthood. Yet this was
the very move that we, the faithful, had most asked for in our
deliberations.

So, Catholic Women (and Men) Strike!

CWS will take many and diverse forms, some large and colourful, some small
and discreet. At the heart of every action will be a renewed commitment to
remove all barriers to ministry and governance for women, including Holy
Orders.

Join us to learn, ask questions, share your thoughts and get ideas about
what action you could take or be part of.

And we need to ask ourselves:
*Why are Catholics so reluctant to stand up for what we actually know is
right?*
