Thank you to Helena, Dean and Mike for doing the music on Sunday. I will be at a baptism in Guelph.
Thanks again to Brian who puts everything together so that everyone can participate (although muted).
I look forward to seeing all of you on October 5.
Much peace
Sylvia

Subject: [Sundaycommunity] SONG PROGRAM for Sunday September 28

Greetings everyone,

This coming Sunday, September 28, 2025, is the 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The program of songs and responses is attached.

This Sunday is also recognized as the "World Day of Migrants and Refugees." And, God knows, there are so many of them! There seems to be more negative reaction and a less welcoming stance in the world these days towards those who have to flee their own countries. The President of the United States, at the United Nations this past week, criticized the other countries of the world for having "open borders" and told them "your countries are going to hell." However, in today's Gospel story about the rich man and the poor man named Lazarus, it is the rich man who goes to Hades when he dies, while Lazarus "is carried away by the Angels to be with Abraham." It is not hard to understand what Jesus is trying to teach us by telling this story.

Both Sylvia and I are away this Sunday. Helena is graciously looking after the music, with the help of Dean Riley and Mike Watson. Thank you.

Best wishes to all.

Brian
