[Sundaycommunity] SONG PROGRAM for Sunday October 12

Hello dear friends,
This Sunday, October 12th, 2025, is the 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time.  The program of songs and responses is attached.
In Canada, this is "Thanksgiving Weekend," because Monday is our Thanksgiving Day. This annual celebration is usually marked with a dinner involving all the family, often with roast turkey and all the fixings.  It's also an opportunity to acknowledge and express our thankfulness.  Sometimes when things are not going well it's hard to feel thankful.  A few years ago, Oprah Winfrey, on her daily TV show, had a thing going where she would advise people to write a very short list each day that would name 3 things for which they were grateful. It could be anything: I could be grateful I still have my teeth; or my eyesight. It could be bigger things, like gratitude for having a place to live, or daily food.  It could be the people in my life, such as my spouse, or a good friend, or my children, or grandchildren.  It's usually not too hard to find 3 things in a day for which to give thanks, and pretty soon our list will have grown to include much more than we originally imagined.
