[Sundaycommunity] MUSIC PROGRAM for Sunday November 9

Greetings friends,
This coming Sunday is November 9, 2025, and is celebrated in the liturgy of the Church as the "Dedication of the Lateran Basilica".  The program of songs and responses is attached to this email
You may have seen Sylvia's email today concerning her health issue which has prevented her from traveling to Bethlehem for the Kairos Palestine Conference. We've been praying for her health, we're sorry to hear that she will be unable to travel to the Holy Land, but we are happy that she will be with us for Mass this Sunday.  As you will see in the program, all of the usual musicians will be doing their parts.
The focus for the day, the Lateran Basilica in Rome, is the cathedral church of Rome, the official "cathedra" or "seat" of the Bishop of Rome, namely The Pope.  Important though it is, I always have the feeling that it is a bit strange to be celebrating a building, given our deep understanding that "The Church" or "ecclesia" is NOT a building, but rather the people who are gathered.  In any case, let us gather and enjoy one of our more esoteric church traditions.
