[Sundaycommunity] People Progress Nov. 23

The second reading on Sunday is from Colossians, I heard a speaker on it
this morning. He pointed out that it was written in the time of the Roman
Empire, probably the time of Nero, Almost all the titles etc contained in
the letter were ascribed to Nero so this letter is really in part against
the Empire. Apparently at the end of the letter Paul reminds his reader
that he is in chains - perhaps because of this letter. The speaker called
us to be aware of Empire in our time and how it surrounds us and our need
to make the choice for Christ.

I am expressing this badly but it was a very impressive talk.
