<p>I am disappointed that the transgender issue was taken to such a
personal and emotional level. I wished, as likely did the
American bishops, to address the transgender issue at the level of
the future of our society. Pat, I too would find my argument
disturbing at the level that it was framed by Mario. In no way
do I wish to persecute anybody for their beliefs. I have amiable
relationships and respect the humanity of individuals who believe
they were born into the wrong body. My having different beliefs
about transgender is not <img
src="cid:part1.2l1fu48w.o3KwzeiP@integralshift.ca" alt=""
moz-do-not-send="false" width="351" height="352" align="right">persecuting
the trans community. There is only one one reality and the
skeletal remains of a trans person will forever indicate the sex
of birth no matter how much their bodies are mutilated to imitate
the opposite sex. Being born in the wrong body is in the final
analysis a belief that arises within a social cultural context.
Transgender is a social construct and I fear it is aggressively
being imposed on our society as part of a trans-humanist agenda. <br>

Camille Paglia</a> Lesbian feminist author Camille Paglia
registers her shock that so many well intentioned people will
encourage sexual transition surgery and hormone therapy as a
solution for sexual dysphoria. Adolescent and young adults are
being encouraged to reject the sex that they are born with and
hormone therapy is being administered is being pushed to younger
ages. Beliefs about gender identity can change while gender
change is permanent. Sexual transition surgery and drug therapy
has its risks both known and unknown. We all have to face and
transcend the tribulations and limitations that are placed upon us
by the physical and socio-cultural context that we are born into.

<p>Mario, Do you really believe that all you need to debunk an
argument is to attack the messenger and suggest that the argument
is a conspiracy theory? The rich and powerful have since the
time of the Pharaohs practiced the art of the manipulation of the
masses to mold society according to their will. Is it now
contemptuous to follow the money and be critically aware of the
lies in the media that are molding our beliefs? Why do some
idolize the alleged victimization of transgender individuals
while they angrily join our federal government to hold in contempt
large sectors of our society that question the story we are being
told in mainstream media. In BC we have an extreme shortage of
health care workers. Yet over 2000 workers who courageously were
engaged in front-line care at the beginning of the pandemic were
subsequently permanently fired from their jobs for exercising
their right to informed consent to an experimental medical
procedure. This is only the tip of the iceberg for the hostility
and discrimination imposed on the critically aware who questioned
forced vaccination. As a Canadian and a Christian I find this

<p>Perhaps the problem lies in a lack of awareness of
trans-humanism. Gregg Braden talks about transcendence much like
we have in our community been talking about the resurrection. He
contrasts this understanding of transcendence with the ideas of
trans-humanism. <br>

a man who was born into a woman's body. When I first met
him, he was living a woman and preparing himself for his
eventual transition. I was one of the few people around him
who knew about this (long story behind that!) Anyway, he
is now 70, has been happily married for 35 years to a
heterosexual woman and it's been a long time since he felt
he needed to destroy himself. You may have met him if you
were at the Sunday Community mass where my daughter had her
first communion. He is a Catholic and sponsored my entrance
into the church 45 years ag</font></div>

U.S. doctors can refuseto treat a patient for any condition
or disease if the patient is transgendered. This relates
even to something oike cancer.</font></div>

I only know that this person who has meant so much in my
life (and hundreds of others) has had a rewarding and
peaceful life since his transition and he is a truly
God-loving person who now feels comfortable in his body. I
might add that transphobia in the world is something he has
to deal with, too, especially in the American church.</font></div>

leftish friends who consider the article scientifically
and theologically correct. This surprises me because i
see it as quite the opposite; a regurgitation of
trans-humanist transgender dogma. The author in no way
provides evidence for his key statements. What is this
"reality of transgender" and how does it supersede the
reality of "being born male or female"? The author talks
about the necessity of sex change surgery and hormone
therapy but why is it necessary? Studies show that the
incidence of sexual dysphoria in our public schools
correlates directly with the introduction of Sexual
Orientation and Gender Identification curriculum. Sexual
dysphoria or sexual confusion is caused by the TRANS
AGENDA. Blind support for transgender ideology is rather
thoughtless in my opinion. <br>

<p>This transgender issue is of critical importance in our
society at this time and we should be discussing the
issue. The following Youtube lecture is a much more
scientific and theological treatment of this issue than
the NCR article critiquing the US Bishops. It is
evidentially based and not a trans-humanist faith
statement.<br>
