during the Pandemic was The Psychology of Totalitarianism
by Matias Desmet. It explains the relationship between
Technocratic propaganda narrative and the polarized social context
that we live in Canada today. It explains why one time peace
activists now shill for war in Ukraine and why so many who
theoretically oppose war insist on censoring any information that
contradicts the dominant narrative.

The COVID crisis ushered in an episode of “mass psychosis”
among the populace where rationality, critical thinking and
skepticism flew out the window. As a result of increasing
anxiety, loneliness and isolation among the population, COVID
arrived at a crucial time to “infect” the masses with a
collective hypnosis where the dominant narrative could not be
questioned — all this according to University of Ghent professor
of psychoanalytic psychotherapy Mattias Desmet.
Jimmy and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger talk to Professor
Desmet about how mass formation works and why COVID struck at
just the right moment to virtually hypnotize so many of us.
