This morning my ears perked up as I listened with interest to <b><i>Fresh Air</i></b> on CBC radio. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="margin-top:8px; margin-bottom:8px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Today’s program featured an interview with Dr. Rebekah Neckoway who is now the Chief Medical Officer of Health for nine First Nations in Northwestern Ontario. She is the first Indigenous woman to hold such a post in Ontario</span></span>. </span></span></p>
<p style="margin-top:8px; margin-bottom:8px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">To give you an idea of the challenges Dr. Neckoway faces is that one of those First Nations has been under a boil water advisory since 1995.</span></span></span></span></p>
