The Scarboro Foreign Mission Society had a long presence in this country… From the late 1940’s to 2020 - when the last remaining Scarboro priest in the DR passed away in our town of Consuelo… Fr. Joe McGuckin… the son of an Irish immigrant farming family… of Clandonald, Alberta. Wherever Joe was stationed to work here in the Dominican Republic, he was always drawn to local farming communities, where he is still lovingly remembered.<br>
