The Vineyard of the Lord was planted with great care for <em>everyone</em> - a <em>safe</em> space, with a wall around it, a winepress and a watchtower.<br>

But it is now the Tenants' Vineyard.<br>
They've made it <em>their</em> space not our space.<br>
It excludes, it allows the worst abuse to go unpunished, it blesses would-be dictators, and quashes freedom of conscience and freedom of speech.<br>
It makes a mockery of the beatitudes.<br>
<br>
We do not recognise this Tenants' Vineyard as the Vineyard of the Lord.<br>
<br>
Together, let us keep the faith. And while we wait for justice, compassion and equality to prevail in the hierarchical church, let's build the Vineyard of the Lord <em>alongside</em> <br>
