She had prepared us for this scenario recently but nevertheless it comes as a big shock. We do know that she is at peace and is ready to let go of this life and meet our blessed Lord. And we think she wanted us to understand this even more on Sunday when she made that heroic effort to be at Mass together. <div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">Late this afternoon Lucia was informed that her new treatment is failing to combat her growing cancer and that she will now go into palliative care.</div>
