Good Morning Everyone <div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">I am emailing some comments on the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity because I’m having difficulty exporting documents from Pages - an Apple app.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Our celebration today is the second Sunday in ordinary time - as Father Pat said, “Let’s live each day in our extra ordinary ways.”</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">This week also marks the beginning of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.</div><div dir="auto">Since 1966 it has been a joint project of the Roman Catholic Church and the World Council of Churches and is now an international movement of prayer - A global ecumenical experience.</div><div dir="auto">The theme of the Holy  Year 2025 is Pilgrims of Hope.</div><div dir="auto">Unity Prayer</div><div dir="auto">As we journey with you towards unity, may our eyes not look away, but be</div><div dir="auto">wide open to the world. As we travel through life, may we stop and reach out, bind up the wounded, and in so doing experience your presence in them: you who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">The dates are January 18 - Feast of the Confession o Saint Peter</div><div dir="auto">to January 25 - The Conversion of Saint Paul.</div><div dir="auto">The theme for 2025 - Do You Believe This ? ( John11:26)</div><div dir="auto">It seemed open ended to me until I read the gospel passage from which it is taken.</div><div dir="auto">It is actually from a conversation between Jesus and Martha.</div><div dir="auto">John11:21-27 New International Version </div><div dir="auto">21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “ If you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”</div><div dir="auto">23 Jesus said to her, “ Your brother will rise again.”</div><div dir="auto">24 Martha answered, “ I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”</div><div dir="auto">25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die. 26 and whoever lives by believing in me, will never die. Do you believe this?”</div><div dir="auto">27 “ Yes, Lord ,” she replied, “ I believe that you are the Messiah, the son of God, who is to come into the world.”</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Sources - </div><div dir="auto"><a href="http://weekofprayer.ca">weekofprayer.ca</a></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Churches Together</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Looking forward to being with you at our liturgical celebration this morning.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Sharon </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div>
