<p style="margin-top:8px; margin-bottom:8px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">I would like to thank Sheila and Rob for their memories of Lucia.</span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="margin-top:8px; margin-bottom:8px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">I came to know Lucia some 30 years ago through Sr. Brenda whom I had met at the Newman Centre. The two of them quickly became an important anchor in my life. As a single person, my friends and members of my church community formed an extended family of sorts.</span></span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="margin-top:8px; margin-bottom:8px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">I am also most grateful to Maryanne and Roberto, and to many others in the Sunday Community, who have lovingly supported Lucia throughout her long illness.</span></span></span></span></span></p>

Dear Maryanne and Roberto and the Sunday Community,<br/>
Lucia was truly someone who possessed a heart of gold.Whenever she came across someone in need, which she often did in her role as a court translator and interpreter, where many of her clients were poor people or non nativeCanadians, she gave of herself unstintingly to care for them and support them in any way she could. She was always prepared to go the extra mile.<br/>
She was loving to her friends and to her friends’ family members especially when they were in hospital and would visit them regularly. She and Sister Brenda had an embracing attitude to people they met and their home was always an open house. She nursed Sister Brenda so lovingly through the last years of her life. Brenda was our friend too and we spent happy times with them both in Toronto when we were younger and able to travel.<br/>
It was Lucia who, during the time of the Covid pandemic asked us to join her in the Sunday Community liturgies so that she had family to accompany her.<br/>
We will really miss her but we rejoice in the knowledge that she is at peace with God and reunited with her beloved Sister Brenda and their dear friends Sister Bernardine Angel, and Sister Helen Conway,who died very recently on January 10th.<br/>
We are so grateful to Maryanne and Roberto, and to many others in the Sunday Community, who have lovingly supported Lucia throughout her long illness.<br/>
