It has been our long-standing policy to meet current expenses; we’ve never had a substantial bank account and don’t plan on having one. But we do need to prepare for two challenges ahead.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:8pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline">We have become dependent on fewer priests, all of whom have other commitments. In 2023 – 2024, we had priests for 44 masses; this year we had priests for 39 Sundays: others were lay-led. </span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:8pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline">We begin in September with $238.98, with fewer members to support us. We’re all getting older! Our expenses average $500 per month, or $6,000 per year.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:8pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline">What will be our direction this year? Among the possibilities are:</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:8pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline">New priests. </span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:8pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline">New members. We’ve never been widely known. How many people would join if they knew us?</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:8pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline">Increased giving by some or all of our current contributors.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:8pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline">Lay led liturgies more often.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:8pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline">Have mass less often.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:8pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;vertical-align:baseline">Please pray and think about the direction(s) which fits us best.
