[Craic] Why the United States is becoming ungovernable

Thank you Alan for a great article!  Chris Hedges has been saying much the
same for years about American democracy that the kleptocrats have captured
the government and democracy is more illusion than reality.  This was
evident both times when the Democrats did everything in their power to
destroy Bernie Sanders' campaign.  His rallies were energetic, noisy, and
exciting with lots of hopeful young people making Clinton's and Biden's
look like "Night of the Living Dead".  They had an exciting candidate who
offered meaningful change but spurned him in order to preserve the status
quo.  Regrettably, I agree with Hedge's things are only going to get much
worse as the empire unravels.
