Right on David, thank you for this! There can be no credibility much less
forgiveness until the sin is recognized and atoned for an abysmal lack of
leadership in a country that professes pro-life values but spends over half
its tax dollars on a military empire that wreaks violence worldwide on
brown and black skinned peoples. 800 plus military bases worldwide, a
military that exudes greenhouses gases at a terrifying level. A military
that ensures the free flow of fossil fuels to the west as well as every
other consumer good imaginable stolen from the natural resources of other
peoples! A nation that uses a massive nuclear arsenal to keep any form of
resistance to a bare minimum. Youth brainwashed as stormtroopers of the
empire! A nation that domestically provides every law enforcement agency
in the country with more firepower than most developing nations armies,
which in a moment's notice can be turned on black and brown skinned people
who peacefully demand justice in the face of relentless police violence
performed with impunity! I can go on but I am preaching to the choir!
Forgive my rant!
Peace
Greg
