Hi Brian,
     I’ve been delighted that you returned to the community after your long absence.   
      I don’t sleep well and happened to read your middle of the night email to Catherine when it was posted and immediately thought, “Oh No”!  
      Brian, the topic may be different, but the escalation of inappropriate emails resulted in a response from someone (whom I shall not name) that caused you to decide to leave the community in the past.
         You are a well-loved member of the community—a gentle soul without guile.  You accept criticism with a simplicity that touches my heart — something to which I could only aspire.  
         I have personally experienced your kindness on various occasions such as the day  we unexpectedly saw each other and you spontaneously drove me to get the H1N1 vaccine
and insisted upon waiting     
for hours!
         I suspect that the suggestion that you start your own email subgroup would not be effective since there is likely no-one who shares your
perspective.
         Brian, surely there are online groups that would resonate with your ‘preoccupation’.
          This morning I’ve suddenly wondered whether you may view it as a ‘divine mission’ to continue to send these clearly unwanted posts.  (If so, I suspect that you will be unable to refrain.)
          Brian, I am concerned that if you continue on this trajectory,  the same thing will occur as a few years ago and you will decide to leave again. Surely you can sense this!   It would be a shame and a loss for you and our community.
