And this is my response:
It's very good that the CCCB listened to the laity.
However the atrocities committed were by the hierarchy and this fund will
probably fall on the shoulders of the laity.
I believe a better way to raise the money would be to sell some of the huge
churches with very few people left in them,
or to sell the many art works that adorn them and the Vatican.
It’s a hierarchy problem that they’re trying to solve through the money of
the faithful few who are still contributing.
