I'm home!!  After almost 6 months of being away, between Hamilton General
and a chronic care hospital called St. Peter's, I am back in my little
house on Vansitmart Ave.  Of the three hospital stays I've had in the past
few years, this has been the longest.  I left a mess and a mound of laundry
here last October (4th) when I took myself in a cab to Hamilton General and
was admitted.  Some of the mess has been dealt with, all the dead plants
have been removed and Rachel has been working on the laundry load by load.
I managed to put in an order to the online grocery delivery service I use
yesterday and now I am sorting through things to put them away.  I monve
very slowly and the latest amputation and physiotherapy are making my
balance worse and my movements much slower.  Oh, aging!

So, as I am having a visit from family in Toronto on Sunday morning, I
don't think I'll be joining the Zoom mass on Sunday.  As this is the only
Zoom gathering I now take part in (I resigned from the 2 disability
advocacy groups I was involved with last fall) I don't know if this
inability to be heard when on Zoom was a problem with my computer or the
hospital's wifi, which had numerous deficiencies.  It will be quieter at
home anyway to phone in and for all of you to hear my voice.(I can hear all
of you.)

Thank you all for the prayers and healing support that have come my way in
these past months and over this dreary and gloomy winter.  I will still
need some prayers as I search for an affordable and accessible home - I
draw my courage from my faith.  And please remember what a gift it is to
have the privacy, quiet and occasional moments of solitude in your own home.
