Dear friends,
I ‘sent’ my previous email response before completing  it.  Apologies.

The shock is deeper because these current painful symptoms were supposed to be followed by improvement.   Instead, hope was replaced with the news of palliative care!

Lucia, it is so good that you are exercising your opportunity to choose where  you want to
receive palliative care.
Hopefully, this choice will be honoured.

Late this afternoon Lucia was informed that her new treatment is failing to combat her growing cancer and that she will now go into palliative care.

Her care team is trying to meet Lucia's wishes that her palliative care be at Kensington Gardens.
