[Sundaycommunity] NCR criticizes US bishops statement on transgender as being anti-woke

I am disappointed that the transgender issue was taken to such a 
personal and emotional level.  I wished, as likely did the American 
bishops, to address the transgender issue at the level of the future of 
our society.  Pat, I too would find my argument disturbing at the level 
that it was framed by Mario.     In no way do I wish to persecute 
anybody for their beliefs.  I have amiable relationships and respect the 
humanity of individuals who believe they were born into the wrong body.  
My having different beliefs about transgender is not persecuting the 
trans community. There is only one one reality and the skeletal remains 
of a trans person will forever indicate the sex of birth no matter how 
much their bodies are mutilated to imitate the opposite sex. Being born 
in the wrong body is in the final analysis a belief that arises within a 
social cultural context. Transgender is a social construct and I fear it 
is aggressively being imposed on our society as part of a trans-humanist 
agenda.

Lesbian feminist author Camille Paglia registers her shock that so many 
well intentioned people will encourage sexual transition surgery and 
hormone therapy as a solution for sexual dysphoria. Adolescent and young 
adults are being encouraged to reject the sex that they are born with 
and hormone therapy is being administered is being pushed to younger 
ages.   Beliefs about gender identity can change while gender change is 
permanent.  Sexual transition surgery and drug therapy has its risks 
both known and unknown.  We all have to face and transcend the 
tribulations and limitations that are placed upon us by the physical and 
socio-cultural context that we are born into.

Mario, Do you really believe that all you need to debunk an argument is 
to attack the messenger and suggest that the argument is a conspiracy 
theory?  The rich and powerful  have since the time of the Pharaohs 
practiced the art of the manipulation of the masses to mold society 
according to their will. Is it now contemptuous to follow the money and 
be critically aware of the lies in the media  that are molding our 
beliefs?  Why do some idolize the alleged victimization of transgender 
individuals while they angrily join our federal government to hold in 
contempt large sectors of our society that question the story we are 
being told in mainstream media. In BC we have  an extreme shortage of 
health care workers.  Yet  over 2000 workers who courageously were 
engaged in front-line care at the beginning of the pandemic were 
subsequently permanently fired from their jobs for exercising their 
right to informed consent to an experimental medical procedure.  This is 
only the tip of the iceberg for the hostility and discrimination imposed 
on the critically aware who questioned forced vaccination.  As a

Perhaps the problem lies in a lack of awareness of trans-humanism.  
Gregg Braden talks about transcendence much like we have in our 
community been talking about the resurrection.  He contrasts this 
understanding of transcendence with the ideas of trans-humanism.
